Ready… Set… Rain? Day one of the Ft. McMurray Spring Show greeted us with a steady drizzle and at some times near downpour. We, along with the other exhibiters, did some last minute primping to our display and were ready to go when the doors were opened. The line up to get in was out the door, proving that the weather wouldn’t dampen the spirits of the festivalgoers. The organizers were expecting 4000 attendees on opening day and it felt pretty close to that for sure. Our booth and our game looked and worked as we hoped. We managed to raise $581.87 for Kids Forever on day one. Thank you very much to all the generous people who donated for an extra chance at “Cracking our Code”. No big winners yet, by the way. We are continuing to raise donations for Kid’s Forever all weekend so please stop by and help us to help out a good cause. We awarded our Daily Draw prize for Friday to Brandon Davy of Ft. McMurray. Brandon won a furnace and duct cleaning package valued at $500.00. Congratulations to Brandon. Our Daily Draws for Saturday and Sunday are Carpet Cleaning and a Home Security System. So even if you don’t win the $100,000.00 prize by Cracking the Code, you still have a chance of winning one of the other prizes. Saturday promises to be another exciting day. The weather is supposed to be hot and sunny. The crowd is expected to be in a frenzy. The exhibiters will be on the top of their games. And we will keep trying to make someone $100,000.00 richer. See you at the show!
