In a “high Steaks” Robberies from Sherwood Park distributor, “Fins Seafood distributors”  the RCMP are looking for a Ford F-150 they believe used to steal more than $100,000 worth of meat from the company. pallets of crap, salmon and Steak were the bounty.

Icy Roads In Calgary Cause 374 Accidents

The roads in Calgary yesterday were extremely icy causing 374 accidents and forcing Police Services to close down  Deerfoot Trail. Cab Drivers In Strathmore Upset Over Bylaw

Drivers in Strathmore are very upset over new requirements that were outlined in end in depending bylaw change. The towns Taxi bylaw will go into effect on February 23rd and taxi drivers must meet the following requirements:  taxi drivers must have a criminal record check, they must obtain basic first aid certificate, and taxis must pass a vehicle inspection. Failure to comply with the new bylaw will result in a $500 fine.

Athabasca Faces Losses Of Over $700,000 Due To Linear Tax Assessment

Athabasca county is very upset at how the provincial government is handling linear assessment. The region has two mates it lost $773,000 tax revenue for the county. “ What it means it’s a loss of that revenue is added upon the backs of the remainder of our taxpayers,”  said Ryan Maier the county manager.
