An acreage furnace does everything a city furnace does — plus three jobs its town cousins never face. We know, because our own shop breathes county air.
Gravel is the county’s pollen
Every dry week from May to October, the grid roads lift a fine mineral dust that travels remarkable distances and settles on everything — including intake hoods, window seams and, eventually, blower fins. County systems inhale a summer’s worth of road every year, and it shows at cleaning time as a paler, grittier load than any city job produces.
Wood heat leaves a signature
A wood stove or fireplace insert is half the point of acreage living, and even a well-drafted one sheds fine ash and smoke residue into household air on every reload. The furnace collects what escapes — a particulate load city homes simply don’t generate — and its blower and coil area wear the grey film that proves it. If winter smells faintly of last night’s fire long after it’s out, the system is telling you where the residue went.
Big properties run big systems
County homes stretch: long duct runs to far wings, two furnaces splitting a sprawling floorplan, zones balancing a walkout against a bonus room. All of it prices from the same published list — first furnace $345 + GST with all its ducting, each additional +$150, each zone +$60 — so a two-system acreage totals from the couch, before anyone quotes it from your driveway.
And the drive is already ours
The trucks live in the county — between Spruce Grove, Stony Plain and the acreage roads west. There is no mileage math and no rural surcharge; your range road is our commute. Most county customers pair the furnace with the HRV wash — on acreages it’s barely optional.

Furnace + all ducting ($345) with the HRV core washed in the same visit ($150) is the county’s standard order — the whole hard-working system, reset at once.
