The particulate story no competitor will say out loud
Sherwood Park sits directly against Alberta’s Industrial Heartland, and the hamlet’s north and east edges carry a measurably heavier ambient particulate load than the regional average. We’ll say what the industry won’t: this is not a health scare, and anyone using the refineries to frighten you into a coupon cleaning is selling. What it is is a settling rate. Fine particulate lands in ductwork year-round on that side of the hamlet, and systems toward Lakeland Ridge and Clover Bar Ranch come out visibly heavier at cleaning time than their south-side twins. It’s a legitimate reason to hold the shorter end of the cleaning rhythm — nothing more, nothing less.
The canopy writes the spring chapter
Through the mature core — Mills Haven, Glen Allan, Brentwood, Craigavon — fifty-year trees shade 287 kilometres of paved trail, and every spring they shed into the returns: pollen, catkins, seed fluff. The 1960s and 70s trunk lines under that canopy were built wide and slow, which makes them settling chambers — material lands and stays, year over year, until someone puts the system under suction and takes it all out at once.
The new half sealed the build inside
Summerwood, Emerald Hills, Foxboro and Aspen Trails hold the opposite archive: drywall dust, sawdust and silica from their own construction, locked into tight HRV-equipped envelopes that recirculate rather than leak. Many of those HRVs have never been opened either — we pull and wash the HRV core for $150 in the same visit, and in this half of the hamlet it’s the single most-worthwhile add-on we offer.
One discipline, one number
Whatever the contents, the job is the same: the entire network under negative pressure before anything is touched, rotary brushes and air whips through every run, the blower and coil cleaned with it, and before-and-after photos you can judge for yourself. $345 + GST, every diffuser included, quoted before the truck leaves the yard.
