Leduc’s dryer-vent story is written by its growth: modern floorplans that stretch the run, and an east side whose exterior hoods live in moving air.
The upstairs-laundry mathematics
Southfork, Meadowview Park, West Haven and Windrose build the floorplans buyers want, and buyers want laundry beside the bedrooms. The vent pays for it: a second-storey closet to a ground-level side hood is eight-plus metres with three or four elbows, and every elbow is a shelf where lint stops. These runs clog on load volume, not house age — a three-year-old Southfork two-storey with two kids in sports can out-lint a 1985 bungalow by double.
East-side hoods work in the wind
Toward YEG and Nisku, exterior terminations live with the same moving grit that loads the area’s furnaces: field dust and road fines that mat into hood screens and stiffen flaps. A hood that doesn’t swing free chokes the whole run from the outside in. We verify flap action and flow on every job — on the airport side it’s often half the fix.
The established core is due on age
Corinthia Park, Deer Valley and Leduc Estates carry the region’s standard age story: original runs and original hoods now decades old, many never professionally cleared. Short, straight runs forgive a lot — but not forever, and stiff flaps plus a packed final metre is the classic combination we find there.
