What a same-vintage town accumulates
Across the original townsite, Imperial Park and Oakland, the trunk lines went in within a few years of each other and have run the same seventy-odd valley seasons since. What we pull from them is remarkably consistent: strata of household dust, the dander of every pet the house has hosted, mid-century construction grit at the very bottom — and above it, layer after layer of the valley’s annual shed. Very few of these systems have ever been professionally opened. When one finally is, the collection bag weighs like history.
The valley is the town’s second duct system
Devon sits inside a bend of the North Saskatchewan, and the river valley’s cottonwood and poplar own the month of June. The fluff mats against return grilles on the valley-facing streets and rides the fan into the lines; by midsummer it has settled where it will stay until someone puts the network under suction. Homes near Voyageur Park and the Riverview edge collect the heaviest share — a fall cleaning there clears an entire valley season in one pass.
The new rim streets carry their own beginning
South Ravines and Highwood get the modern version of the same story: construction debris sealed into brand-new lines — drywall dust, sawdust, silica — recirculating through tight envelopes that barely leak. A first clean shortly after possession removes the build; after that they join the town’s normal rhythm.
One visit settles all of it
The method doesn’t vary: negative pressure across the whole network first, rotary brushes and compressed-air whips through every run and diffuser, the blower and coil area cleaned in the same visit, photos before and after. $345 + GST — the same number on every street in town, quoted before we arrive.
